Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support. Happy New Year! I am excited to announce that I have completed my deputation journey. I spent the Fall months in Oklahoma, Utah, and Rhode Island completing my final meetings.
It was a true joy to not only gain new ministry partners, but also make dear friends. I am now at full support! Thank you all for your prayers and support on this journey. Looking back, I can see God’s hand on every meeting. He’s used each of your churches in a special way.
The Lord allowed me to spend the holidays with my family as well as my sending church in Florida. I enjoyed a sweet time of commissioning and prayer with my church family. Their amazing generosity and friendship is an enormous encouragement! I love them and will miss them all dearly!
As many of you know, I have been praying for a speedy visa application process. Although there was a slight delay with submitting several of the papers, God worked and the actual approval process went very quickly! I now have my visa and the only remaining steps will be to register with the local police department once I arrive in Brazil.
I have heard from other missionaries that this step can be challenging as there are limited appointments available. Please pray that I would gain an appointment quickly and this entire process would run smoothly.
Departure Plans
After finalizing with my mission director, I have set my departure date for January 26th. This date is rapidly approaching! Please pray for a smooth packing process as I finalize several last matters in the states. I will be arriving in Ribeirão Preto, a municipality in southeastern Brazil. This is where I’ll be attending language school. Additionally, there are several well-established churches and ministries in which I can serve while also adapting to both the language and culture.
Communication Details
Many have asked for information regarding contacting me after I have moved. All letters may be sent to my mission board. Both my email and phone number will remain the same at this time; email will provide the most reliable form of contact, however. I will be sure to update my contact information should this change.
Medical-Evangelism Yearly Recap
I wanted to briefly summarize the summer medical-evangelism trips in which I participated. God worked mightily and through our 13 mobile village clinics, we saw 1,151 patients come through! Of these, 102 reached out for counseling and made personal decisions for Christ! It was a joy to see how God worked through both the physical and spiritual needs of these dear people. Additionally, I was thrilled to have two individuals come on the trips, both from two of my supporting churches. It was their first medical missions trip; their enthusiasm was contagious!
Year Ahead
In addition to settling in and beginning language school, I am planning to take part in three summer medical-evangelism trips in the Amazon. I have included the dates for these trips among my prayer requests. Please be in prayer for God to supply both volunteers as well as medical donations for each trip. I am happy to answer any questions regarding them.
Thank you all again for your prayers and support! Your kindness and generosity is such an encouragement. In particular, I wish to give a special thanks to those of you who reached out with kind cards and additional support during the holiday season. Your churches remain in my prayers! I am thrilled to see how God works in 2025.
Best,
